A study of the Working and Living Conditions of MDWs in Lebanon: “Intertwined: the workers’ side“

This report by the International Labour Organization (ILO), provides a general picture of the living and work conditions of migrant domestic workers in Lebanon.

The report aims to enrich the debate on the rights of migrant workers in Lebanon by shedding light on various facets of the living and work conditions of MDWs in Lebanon through the voice of 1,541 MDWs in Beirut and Mount Lebanon.

The survey excludes MDWs who are trapped inside household, and therefore results may portray a situation that may be slightly better than the reality. Yet being evidence based, it should inform future interventions to ensure decent work for domestic workers.
