Invitation to Bid and pre-qualification training for Lebanese registered Contractors with proven civil works track record

Invitation to Bid: Tender ITB No 31/2017 Rehabilitation of street median and toilets in Tripoli.

In close partnership with the Ministry of Labour and the Ministry of Social Affairs, the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), are implementing the Employment Intensive Infrastructure Programme in Lebanon (EIIP), which is fully financed by KfW. The programme aims at creating short- to mid-term employment opportunities for Lebanese host community members and displaced Syrians through infrastructure works. At the centre of the programme is a so called Local Resource Based Technology (LRBT) approach to infrastructure rehabilitation and improvement.

EIIP Lebanon is now inviting tenders for “Rehabilitation of street median and toilets in Tripoli”, ref No ITB No 31/2017. The deadline for submission is 18 September at 10.00. Note the following however:

The compulsory pre-bid meeting and site visit will take place on 8th September from 9.00-12.00, gathering at Hotel Miramar in Tripoli.

Contractors participating in the tender must include a certificate from an obligatory one day pre-tender qualification training, which focuses on the specific requirements of LRBT and tender procedures. The contractor must enrol 2 staff in this training (i) one engineer and (ii) one director or procurement specialist. The one day training will take place in Tripoli on 7th September from 9.00-16.00 at Hotel Miramar.

Bids will only be accepted which include certificates of completed pre-tender qualification training described above, as well as participation in the compulsory pre-bid meeting and site visit.
