Training of skills-training providers to improve practice orientation

The ILO holds workshop to train practitioners on competency-based training (CBT) and community-based training for economic empowerment (TREE).

Within the context of the joint ILO-UNICEF Initiative titled “Review of and strategy on technical and vocational education and training (TVET) in Lebanon,” the ILO and UNICEF are holding a training workshop for vocational training providers on competency – based training (CBT) and community – based training for economic empowerment (TREE), with support from the ILO’s International Training Center (ITCILO). The training brings together selected practitioners from NGO’s operating across Lebanon as non – formal training providers collaborating with UNICEF.

Objective of event:

This training course aims at improving the capacities of non-formal vocational training providers collaborating with UNICEF to design and deliver training packages that are based on market needs and can address the immediate skills training needs and increase the employability of low-skilled and unemployed Lebanese and refugee youth.

Expected outcomes:

The five-day training workshop will assist UNICEF Partners in identifying emerging and potential employment, income generation and small business opportunities, and in delivering training in practical skills and business management.
