Rethinking communication: Strengthening Arab trade unions through better communications tools and strategies
Key Arab workers’ organisations meet to discuss challenges facing their communication strategies and how to improve them.
Communication officers from major regional trade unions will gather in Amman for a three-day training workshop aimed at improving communication strategies and practices for workers’ organizations in the Arab world.
The workshop, which is being conducted by the ILO’s Bureau for Workers’ Activities (ACTRAV), aims to build the capacities of the Arab trade unions to better communicate and assist workers in the region. It will allow participants to share their experiences on the key challenges facing Arab trade unions, as well as learn about communication methodologies and strategies to recruit and mobilise workers, through improving their knowledge on communication technologies and social media.

The event is being organized in collaboration with the communications department of the ILO’s Regional Office for Arab States.
