Teachers in Jordan attend ILO enterprise training workshop

The ILO pilot tests its “Know About Business” flagship entrepreneurship programme with education sector facilitators in Jordan in order to ascertain the prospect of its nationalisation.

The ILO is to hold workshops over a two-week workshop period with teachers in Jordan from secondary and vocational schools, as well as community colleges, on methods to implement its flagship entrepreneurship programme entitled “Know About Business” (KAB). After the workshop is completed, the KAB programme will be pilot tested in training centres across Jordan’s capital, Amman, and follow-up workshops will be held to discuss the potential nationalisation of the programme.

The workshops fall within the framework of an ILO’s project with the Business Development Centre in Jordan, which aims to integrate the KAB programme in secondary vocational schools and community colleges in partnership with the Jordan’s Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research represented by Al Balka’a Applied University.
