The occupied Palestinian territory explores methods to advance gender equality in the labour market

The ILO meets with officials from the occupied Palestinian territory to consider future measures to improve gender equity and female labour force participation.

The ILO will hold a workshop with government officials from the occupied Palestinian territory (oPt) to explore methods and future initiatives to improve gender equality, pay equity and female labour force participation throughout the territory. A series of presentations covering pay equity and gender neutral job evaluations will be made by the ILO in addition to practical exercises that cover legislative reform relevant to gender equality in the oPt. Additionally, representatives from the Ministry of Labour in Jordan will share their experience of cooperation with the ILO and gender equality reforms. The workshop will conclude with propositions for future initiatives and cooperation on gender and work in the oPt.
