Youth in Jordan receive training on rights and responsibilities in the workplace

Young Jordanian men and women to learn about international conventions, national labour laws and other work related issues.

Jordanian men and women with little or no work experience will attend a training workshop organised by the ILO on their rights and responsibilities in the workplace. An ILO draft manual on ’Youth Rights at Work’’ will be presented to the participants of the workshop, and feedback will be used to improve the document. The draft manual consists of five modules that cover the ILO’s Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, decent work, contracts, social protection as well as occupational safety and health.

The training is part of the ILO project entitled “Tripartite Action for Youth Employment in Jordan” which aims to support government, workers unions and employers’ organizations to address youth employment issues.
