Regional Training of Facilitators on ILO Participatory Gender Audits

A regional training session on ILO Participatory Gender Audits for twenty facilitators from Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, the occupied Palestinian territory, Tunis and Yemen.

In response to the need to source qualified Participatory Gender Audit (PGA) facilitators with Arabic language skills, the ILO organized a regional training session for twenty facilitators from Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, the occupied Palestinian territory, Tunis and Yemen.

The ILO's PGA is a tool is based on a participatory methodology to promote organizational learning on how to practically and effectively mainstream gender. It enhances the capacity of an organization to examine its activities from a gender perspective and to identify strengths and weaknesses in promoting gender equality issues,

The training session aims to create a pool of regional Arabic speaking facilitators trained in the ILO PGA methodology, and to promote gender equality among ILO constituents in the Arab region by conducting PGAs. Facilitators are expected to conduct further audits within their organizations.
