    Promoting Rights of People with Disabilities and Sustainable Development in China: Concluding Symposium on the UNPRPD Project in Support to the Rights and Entitlements of Persons with Disabilities in China

    The forum takes stock of existing achievements of UN Partnership on Rights of Persons with Disabilities-China Project, while suggesting next steps for the UN agencies in China to further support the Chinese Government in order to accelerate the process towards systematic changes for mainstreaming equal rights of persons with disabilities.

    ILO/CMTU Workshop to Validate a Draft CMTU Plan of Action on SDG Monitoring

    The workshop participants will discuss and validate a draft CMTU Plan of Action on SDG monitoring including CMTU’s focus SDG and decent work indicators. It is part of wider efforts to develop organizational capacity of the Confederation of Mongolian Trade Unions (CMTU) to monitor and advance Mongolia’s SDG and Decent Work progress.

    The Workshop on Job Evaluation Tools Development in Construction and Mining Sectors of Mongolia

    The ILO is providing support to develop a Job-Based Wage Scale for Pilot Sectoral Collective Bargaining in the Mining Sector following the request of Ministry of Labour and Social Protection. The work has started in 2015 with capacity development of tripartite constituents and baseline studies. The current Workshop focuses on developing and introducing "job evaluation tools".

    Addressing occupational health challenges, fighting the invisible killer

    To promote a new paradigm of prevention which also focuses on work-related diseases, not only on occupational injuries, the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the State Administration of Work Safety (SAWS) jointly organize a Training Programme on Occupational Health in Beijing.

    Decent work, the key to the 2030 agenda for sustainable development

    Decent work puts money in the pockets of individuals and families that they can spend in the local economy. Their purchasing power fuels the growth and development of sustainable enterprises, especially smaller businesses, which in turn are able to hire more workers and improve their pay and conditions. It increases tax revenues for governments, who can then fund social measures to protect those who cannot find, or are unable to work.
