MONEF developed a series of five workshops on “Issues to be considered in the implementation of OSH management system” for private sector and professional associations with the objective to improve employers’ understanding and application of OSH management.

A total of 150 people participated, 77 of whom were women. The goal of the training was to improve employers' understanding and implementation of OSH management systems and to teach participants how to develop and implement labor inspections in their workplaces. Participants reported that they gained a lot of valuable information from the training, indicating that they had limited knowledge on OSH management prior to the training. The workshops were designed by MONEF with technical support of the ILO, to model best practices in the delivery of OSH, with a participatory, interactive, and experiential approach, allowing inputs from participants.

Furthermore, to strengthen efforts in building the capacity of employers of managing OSH and preventing occupational accidents and risks, the EU-funded "SDG-Aligned Budgeting to Transform Employment in Mongolia" project plans to provide methodological support for employers, as well as translating and publishing the ILO manual "Recommendations issued by the ILO for employers on the development of labour control in enterprises".
