ILO Director-General to attend “1+6” roundtable dialogue in Beijing
Mr Guy Ryder will join Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and heads of other five multinational institutions to talk about Chinese and world economy.

This will be the first such dialogue Premier Li will hold with the heads of multilateral institutions including the ILO, the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, the World Trade Organization, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development and the Financial Stability Board.
The roundtable discussion will focus on promoting strong, sustainable and balanced economic growth of China and the world. Ryder said he will “bring the world of work perspectives that will have a bearing on these important issues.”
“The need for greater coherence in international cooperation is all the more essential at a time when the world economy faces serious challenges,” he said. “The International Labour Organization will endeavour to make its fullest contribution to those efforts.”
The ILO is ready to support the Chinese government in exploring the new forces driving China’s economic transition, and developing an integrated approach to strengthen coherence among fiscal, wage and social protection policies in supporting structural reform.
