Report of ILO-UN women seminar on gender equality and the future of work

Labour Organization (ILO) and UN Women, was successfully held in Beijing from September 23 to 24, 2019. More than 70 experts and representatives from international organizations, Chinese government agencies, enterprises, employers’ and trade unions organizations, academia, judicial circles and social groups attended the meeting. The seminar divided into five topics: 1) Overview of Progress and Challenges of Gender Equality in China; 2) Equal Opportunity and Treatment; 3) Equal Pay for the Work of Equal Values and Women’s Empowerment; 4) Balancing Work and Family Responsibilities; 5) Eliminating Violence and Harassment in the World of Work. The meeting achieved positive consensus and results.
