    The National Statistics Office of Mongolia, supported by the ILO, organizes a stakeholder workshop for representatives of the Mongolian government, social partners, and other relevant institutions to discuss, review and comment on the draft “Accelerating the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals through Decent Work, SDGs monitoring and country profile for Mongolia” for its finalization.

  3. With the support of the EU and the ILO, MONEF launches Ready2Export tool to promote business exports

    The Mongolian Employers’ Federation (MONEF) is launching Ready2Export – a tool to help employers export their goods and services abroad by ensuring their business complies with international labour standards.

  1. Workshop Discussion on Impacts of IMF Extended Fund Facility Programme on Mongolia's Labour Market

    17 November 2017

    The workshop conference will bring together policymakers, representatives of employers’ and workers’ organizations, development partners, ILO staff and others to discuss progress on the Economic Recovery Program (ERP) with a view of fostering policy coordination; present and discuss the preliminary results of an ILO-commissioned study assessing the potential impacts of the ERP reform measures on the labour market; and identify future steps to support the Government of Mongolia in ensuring an inclusive economic recovery.

  1. MONEF validated a self-assessment tool kit to boost business compliance with fundamental principles and rights at work

    The ILO is supporting the efforts of the Mongolian Employers’ Federation (MONEF) within the framework of the EU-funded project “Sustaining GSP-Plus Status by Strengthened National Capacities to Improve ILS Compliance and Reporting – Mongolia (GSP+ Reporting)” to improve Mongolian businesses’ labour and business practices. In turn, this will enhance their ability to export goods to the EU.

  2. ILO/CMTU Regional Training Seminar on Decent Work

    17 - 18 October 2017

    The Confederation of Mongolian Trade Unions (CMTU) is organizing this training workshop with the ILO technical inputs. The workshop aims at helping regional trade unions discuss and plan actions for operationalizing decent work in their own contexts.

  2. ILO/MONEF Workshop on Developing a Self-Assessment Tool for Employers: Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work

    13 September - 19 October 2017

    Mongolian Employers' Federation (MONEF) is developing a Self-assessment tool to support its members to comply with international labour standards to ensure accessibility to international market. This is the first round of discussion of the tool and the second one is scheduled to be organized in Darkhan city in October 2017.

  3. ILO Continues to Contribute to the Ongoing Debate on Social Insurance Reform in Mongolia

    14 September 2017

    At the invitation of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection (MLSP) and the General Authority for Health and Social Insurance (GAHSI), the ILO is joining an international forum on “Social insurance reform: Current situation and future perspectives” to be held in Ulaanbaatar. The tripartite partners of Mongolia together with domestic and international experts will discuss the present and future challenges in social security and ways to overcome these challenges with a focus on pension, employment injury and unemployment schemes.

  4. ILO/CMTU Training Workshop on Organizing, Representing Workers and Collective Bargaining for Decent Work

    5 - 7 September 2017

    The Confederation of Mongolian Trade Unions (CMTU) and the ILO are jointly organizing this training workshop with the support of the EU Funded project “CAMELS – Sustaining GSP-Plus status by strengthened national capacities to improve ILS compliance and reporting – Mongolia” (MNG/15/50/EUR). It aims at improving capacity of key trade union officials of CMTU in organizing, representing and collective bargaining in the changing world of work.
