Inter-state cooperation on labour migration: lessons learned from MOUs between Thailand and neighbouring countries

The paper first gives a brief history and description of the economic and institutional environment under which these bilateral agreements – in the form of Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) – were forged, proceeds to summarize the lessons learned from the implementation of the MOUs, and finally makes recommendations for future bilateral negotiations.
