Strengthening Regional Skills Network through Partnerships in Asia and the Pacific: report of ILO/SKILLS-AP/Korea Second Technical Meeting of the Regional Skills Network Partner Organizations in Asia and the Pacific, SIVAT, Incheon, Republic of Korea, 16-18 April 2008

This meeting was to review the progress made in the revitalization of the Regional Skills Network and to explore the ways and means to make it more effective as a mechanism for sharing knowledge and expertise with and between countries in the region.

This Second Technical Meeting of the Regional Skills Network Partner Organizations included government, employer and worker representatives from 27 Asia and Pacific countries. The key outcomes of the meeting were agreement on a revised Cooperation Framework, a Common Understanding and commitment from all member countries to share materials and resources between countries in the region. Skills challenges facing the region were identified and priorities for future action were established.
