Programmes and projects: International Labour Standards

The ILO operates a wide range of programmes and projects in Asia Pacific focusing on relief and development challenges. The overall purpose of this technical cooperation is to support implementation of the Decent Work agenda in each country.

  • Decent Work for Domestic Workers in Asia
    - This advocacy campaign is designed to work with constituents in governments, worker and employer organizations in Asia to prepare for the 2010 ILC discussion on Decent Work for Domestic Workers. The discussion could lead to the creation of an international instrument to extend social protection to domestic workers (such as a new ILO Convention or Recommendation). ...
  • International Labour Organization and Indigenous and Tribal Peoples - Support to Indigenous Peoples Project in Cambodia
    - This project, funded by the Danish Agency for International Development (DANIDA) helps involve indigenous peoples in issues related to their rights and livelihoods.
  • Launch Labour Law Network Project
    - The Launch Labour Law Network advances international labour standards in Asia and the Pacific by organizing seminars for labour law scholars and practitioners and research into labour-law related topics. It has also supported the establishment in November 2008of the Asian Society of Labour Law.
