ILO/International Organisation of Employers (IOE)/Japan's Business Federation (JBF) Asia-Pacific regional high-level meeting of employers' organizations

Aims and objective of the meeting

The meeting was to promote strategic objective 4 (tripartism and social dialogue), specifically operational objective 4a (stronger social partners). It is the continuation of a series which resulted so far in the birth of the Confederation of Asia-Pacific Employers (CAPE) and increased cooperation amongst employers’ organizations in the region. This particular session will review the way employers’ organization have been responding to changes in their market on account of globalization and other developments, and examine options for the future, which will also provide a framework for future ILO technical cooperation.
