Youth Employment in Asia and the Pacific

As a lead-up to the Youth Employment Forum to be held in Geneva, 23-25 May 2012, many activities were held globally to highlight youth employment issues. Thirteen countries in Asia and the Pacific are organizing various activities to raise awareness on the importance of youth employment.

As a lead-up to the Youth Employment Forum to be held in Geneva, 23-25 May 2012, many activities were held globally to highlight youth employment issues. In Asia and the Pacific, events were held in Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia (along with Timor Leste), Japan, Nepal, the Pacific Island Countries (the event was held in Australia), Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Viet Nam. In the Philippines, youth employment is promoted through local economic development , entrepreneurship and local partnerships. The latest APYouthNet Podcast #6 on youth employment has been released.
