National consultation on Decent work for domestic workers

Participants from Government, Worker and Employer Organizations in Cambodia will examine the current laws and practices regarding social protection for domestic workers - both those working in Cambodia and those who go abroad to work in the homes of others.

Type: Workshop
When: 27 November 2009
Where: Phnom Penh, Cambodia

Together with representatives of civil society organizations, the meeting will consider Cambodia's response to an ILO Questionnaire on Decent Work for Domestic Workers, which along with the replies from other member states, will form the basis of a general discussion on the development of an international labour standard for domestic workers at the International Labour Conference in June 2010.
