The International Labour Conference – the annual gathering of the ILO’s global membership – is meeting in Geneva. Among the items being discussed by the 4,000-plus delegates are the impact of the global economic and jobs crisis and effective social and policy responses, issues related to gender equality, child labour, the application of international labour standards, a new ILO standard for HIV/AIDS in the world of work, and developments in Myanmar. The ILC concludes on 19 June.
