    ILO’s Tripartite Constituents in Pakistan and Stakeholders Design the next Decent Work Country Program III (DWCP, 2016-2020)

    23 October 2015, Islamabad

    The Ministry of OPHRD, EFP and PWF embarked on the technical design of Pakistan’s third Decent Work Country Program. This was during a three day session facilitated by the ILO from 20-22 October 2015. The DWCP, which will be implemented over the period 2016-2020 is aligned to the country’s Vision 2025, will be inclusive in its implementation and takes into account the devolved structures of government as well as the Sustainable development Goals (SDG’s).

    ILO welcomes Cambodian National Employment Policy

    The National Employment Policy (NEP), which covers the period 2015-2025, was formally launched by the Prime Minister Hun Sen in a ceremony on Thursday 22 October at the Peace Palace in Phnom Penh, in the presence of senior government officials, employers’ and workers’ representatives and development partners.

    On 16 October 2015, Ministry of Labour, Invalid and Social Affairs (MOLISA) Inspectorate together with the International Labour Organisation (ILO) conducted the Final Review Workshop on Labour Inspection Campaign in the Garment Sector.

    Promoting safe migration from Nepal: Foreign Employment Information and Counselling Center inaugurated at the Kathmandu Labour Village

    The ILO, European Union, Foreign Employment Promotion Board and the Non-Resident Nepali Association collaborated to open a Foreign Employment Information and Counselling Center at the Labour Village in Kathmandu. The Center was inaugurated by the Honourable Minister of State Mr Tek Bahadur Gurung, Ministry of Labour and Employment.

    The Australian Ambassador to Timor-Leste, Peter Doyle, visited the Boile-Uatabo road in Bacau Municipality, Timor-Leste, on 6 October 2015. The 5.2 kilometer road connects the city to the beach, contributing to the development of the tourism potential of the area.
