ILO to release new report on Asia-Pacific Employment and Social Outlook 2022

This third edition of the biennial Asia–Pacific Employment and Social Outlook pulls together the most recent statistics to highlight how labour markets in the region are recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic.

BANGKOK, Thailand (ILO News) – The International Labour Organization (ILO) will publish its Asia-Pacific Employment and Social Outlook 2022, on Monday, 28 November 2022.

Asia–Pacific Employment and Social Outlook 2022: Rethinking sectoral strategies for a human-centred future of work pulls together the most recent statistics to highlight how labour markets in the region are recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic.

The report also makes a first-time assessment of regional sectoral estimates over a three-decade period from 1991-2021 to highlight which sectors are growing as sources of jobs.

The media briefing of this third edition of the biennial Asia–Pacific Employment and Social Outlook will be presented on 28 November 2022, from 13.00 hrs – 13.45 hrs Bangkok time (6:00 - 6:45 GMT) by:
