ILO to launch annual report on Global Employment Trends 2011

BANGKOK (ILO News) – The International Labour Organization is to issue its annual report, “Global Employment Trends: The challenge of a jobs recovery”, on Tuesday 25 January 2011.

BANGKOK (ILO News) – The International Labour Organization (ILO), the United Nations agency dealing with work and workplace issues, is to issue its annual report ,“Global Employment Trends: The challenge of a jobs recovery”, on Tuesday 25 January 2011.

This year’s Global Employment Trends report will be the first to assess how the world’s labour markets have been faring during the ongoing economic recovery and provide projections of employment and unemployment prospects for the world as a whole as well as the various regions – including East Asia (1), South-East Asia and the Pacific (2) and South Asia (3).

The report will be launched in Geneva on Monday 24 January under a reporting embargo of 23:00GMT on Monday 24 January (equivalent to the following times on Tuesday 25 in Asia Pacific: 04.30 in Delhi, 06.00 in Bangkok, 07.00 in Beijing and 08.00 in Tokyo). It will be available in English, French and Spanish.
