Vice Prime Minister of Timor Leste deposits Instruments of Ratification of the ILO Conventions

The Vice-Prime Minister of Timor-Leste, H.E. Mr. José Luis Guterres, presented the official Certificate of Deposit of the four ratified ILO core conventions.

GENEVA (ILO News): The Vice-Prime Minister of Timor-Leste, H.E. Mr. José Luis Guterres, presented the official Certificate of Deposit of the four ratified ILO core conventions on Tuesday, 16 June 2009, at the ILO Headquarters in Geneva, witnessed by Mr. Guido Raimondi, Legal Advisor of the ILO, and Ms. Cleopatra Doumbia-Henry, Director of the International Labour Standards Department. Timor-Leste has ratified four conventions of the ILO, concerning forced labour (Convention No. 29), freedom of association and protection of the right to organize (Convention No. 87), the right to organize and collective bargaining (Convention No. 98), and the elimination of the worst forms of child labour (Convention No. 182).
