  1. Training for Labour Inspectors from Visayas and Mindanao on Advancing Competencies on Core Labour Inspection Functions

    The ILO in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment will hold a training for labour inspectors from Visayas and Mindanao to enhance competencies and to promote quality inspection.

  2. Labour Standards and Trade: A Discussion on Decent Work and Sustainable Trade in Philippine Value Chains

    A forum organized by International Labour Organization together with the EU-Philippines Business Network and the EU Delegation. It aims to highlight mutual gains of businesses and labour in being part of global value chains that follow international standards.

    The IndustriALL Global Union, in partnership with the ILO projects on labour inspectorate and the GSP+ on freedom of association and collective Bargaining, will conduct a seminar on the role of workers in the promotion of workplace compliance and labour inspection.

  5. Safe & Fair: Consultative Dialogue on realizing women migrant workers’ rights and opportunities in the ASEAN Region

    21 - 22 May 2018

    A consultative dialogue will be held to discuss a new project focused on the rights of women migrant workers in the ASEAN Region.

  8. Workshop on the Role of Business Organizations in Creating a Culture of Resilience and Preparedness to Mitigate the Negative Impact of Conflicts

    A workshop co-organized by the Employers Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP) and the ILO on the new Conflict Resilience Toolkit to support enterprises in maintaining commercial operations in conflict afflicted areas, and creating neutral workplaces.

  9. Workshop on the Role of Business Organizations in Supporting Enterprises and Workers Prepare for Natural Disasters

    A workshop co-organized by the Employers Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP) and the ILO on the new Disaster Resilience Toolkit developed to support enterprises in improving preparedness and reducing risk to disasters.

  10. Capacity Building for Regional Development Banks (BPDs)

    8 - 9 May 2018

    The purpose of the training is to introduce strategies and business practices to effectively manage financial institutions that provide services to small businesses, low-income households, and development financing.

  11. Union Training “Foundation of Economics and Statistics” May 07-11, 2018, Siem Riep, Cambodia

    7 - 11 May 2018

    The course on “Foundations of Economics and Statistics” intends to feed the needs of unions to gain further knowledge on economic theories and basic data analysis. It is expected that the course would help them to better understand technical documents such as garment statistical bulletins and other relevant publication pertaining to the sector’s development and wage negotiation. The course is also designed to provide hands-on exposure to basic data management and analysis that would allow them to perform their own analysis after attending the course.

  12. Commemoration of International day on Health and Safety at Work

    Every year, 28th April marks World Day for Safety and Health at Work and this year’s theme is “Generation Safe and Healthy”. In commemoration of this event, Employers Federation of Pakistan will host its 13th Annual Awards ceremony to recognize those employers that demonstrate a firm commitment towards the common goal of safer workplaces and healthy workers in Pakistan.

  13. Learning forum and validation workshop for youth organizations on safety and health at work

    5 - 6 May 2018

    Youth organizations joined a learning session to promote occupational safety and health among young workers and to build a culture of prevention under the ILO’s SafeYouth@Work Project, funded by the United States Department of Labor (US DOL)

  14. High-level dialogue on more quality jobs in Asia and the Pacific: Investing for a just transition

    4 May 2018

    Panel discussion co-organized by the Government of the Philippines, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the ILO on how investments and partnerships can accelerate a just transition to greener, fairer and more sustainable economies through decent work.

  15. Consultative Workshop on Drafting Rules of Business for Sindh Labour Laws

    3 - 4 May 2018

    The Labour and Human Resource Department of Sindh will convene a two day tripartite plus consultation to draft the Rules of Business for six labour laws. This activity is technically and financially supported by two ILO projects i.e. The European Union funded project on “International Labour and Environmental Standards Application in Pakistan’s SMEs” and “Labour Standards in Global supply chains in Asia (LSGSC)” project financed by Ministry for Development Cooperation (BMZ).

  16. Preventing occupational diseases and promoting occupational health services in India

    2 - 4 May 2018

    A national tripartite workshop on trends in occupational health was jointly organized by ILO, Directorate General of Factory Advice and Labour Institutes (DGFASLI).

  1. Project Concluding Seminar: More and Better Jobs through Socially Responsible Enterprises

    The ILO country office in Islamabad will hold a project concluding seminar for the Multinational Enterprises & Social Policy (MNE) Declaration Project “More & Better Jobs through Socially Responsible Labour Practices in the Sports Goods Sector”. The seminar will showcase the results, good practices, and the lessons learnt from the project funded by the Government of Japan and began in 2015.
