  1. Breaking Barriers, Building Futures: ASEAN Regional Dialogue on Young People’s Skills, Employability and Transition to Decent Work

    17 - 18 October 2023

    The event is co-organized by the ASEAN Secretariat, the International Labour Organization (ILO), and UNICEF in collaboration with the UNDP, UNESCO, and UN Women, through the endorsement of the ASEAN Senior Officials Meeting on Youth (SOMY).

  2. Sub-Regional Workshop on Mainstreaming Occupational Safety and Health in the promotion of Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work

    3 - 4 October 2023

    The ILO/Japan Multi-bilateral Programme is organizing the Sub-Regional Workshop on Mainstreaming Occupational Safety and Health in the promotion of Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work. The workshop will provide opportunities for workers’ and employers’ organizations to increase knowledge on OSH and FPRW, identify challenges and opportunities to protect and promote FPRW, and develop action plans on the promotion of FPRW by mainstreaming OSH.

  3. The Field Visit of Childcare Services and the 4th Consultative Meeting of Road Map and National Action Plan on Care Economy

    2 - 3 October 2023

    The main aim of the event is to learn from local initiatives on various approaches of child-care services provided by different types of stakeholders.

  1. 7th Regional Skills Technical Working Group (RSTWG) Meeting 2023

    28 - 29 September 2023

    The 7th Regional Skills Technical Working Group (RSTWG) Meeting will be held on 28-29 September 2023 in Bangkok, Thailand. With Thailand as the ATC Vice-Chair and co-host, this meeting aims to provide updates on the MRS initiative and the pathways of strengthening MRS moving forward.

  2. ILO launched a new project to promote transition to formality in Mongolia

    27 September 2023

    On 27 September 2023, the International Labour Organization (ILO) launched the Formalization of the Informal Economy Project in Mongolia. The project will provide technical assistance to the tripartite constituents of Mongolia in implementing an integrated approach to formalization.

  3. Forum on Green Jobs: Transitioning to a Green and Blue Economy - Learning from North Sulawesi

    26 - 28 September 2023

    The overall objective of the Green Jobs Forum in North Sulawesi is to facilitate the transition towards a green and blue economy by fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and innovative approaches among stakeholders.

  4. 2023 Technical Meeting of Focal Points on International Labour Migration Statistics in ASEAN

    25 - 26 September 2023

    Collection of International Labour Migration Statistics (ILMS) data in ASEAN is done annually together with the help of a network of focal points in national institutions in all ten ASEAN Member States. This network of focal points was established in 2013 and has since met nearly annually. The “2023 Technical Meeting of Focal Points on ILMS in ASEAN” will be the ninth such convening. The meeting will take place convened on 25 and 26 September 2023 as an online meeting, with Thailand-based participants joining in-person in Bangkok.

  5. National Tripartite Preparatory Workshops for the 16th ASEAN Forum on Migrant Labour

    19 September - 24 October 2023

    National tripartite preparatory workshops for the 16th AFML will be held in several ASEAN Member States to take stock on the progress of stakeholders in implementing the previous AFML recommendations and to discuss the theme of the 16th AFML.

    The ILO and the UNDP B+HR Academy in Indonesia are organizing the first joint Training for Enterprises on Responsible Business and Decent Work, targeting mainly the Japanese investment-linked electronic manufacturing sector and its global supply chain operating in Indonesia.

    Grand Finale – SPARK Youth Entrepreneurship Competition 2023

    21 August 2023

    SPARK is a nationwide competition designed for Sri Lanka's upcoming generation of entrepreneurs. It invites young innovators to present their ideas and solutions addressing the most urgent challenges of our era. Having received hundreds of applications, the competition used a comprehensive shortlisting procedure, involving virtual training, in-person boot camps, and mentoring sessions. The Grand Finale will hear the final five contestants who have successfully navigated this process.
