  1. National workshop on World of Work: Issues and Challenges for Trade Unions in India

    20 - 22 August 2019

    A two day national workshop for the central trade union leaders and representatives to develop a common understanding on the challenges/issues and to develop a work plan under the Decent Work Country Programme (DWCP) framework for the period 2019-2022.

  2. ILO ECOP Workshop on In Business Soft Skills Training for Member Companies

    15 - 16 August 2019

    The workshop seeks to introduce company trainors and Human Resource Managers to the In Business Soft Skills Trainings and the different methodologies on peer facilitated trainings for women in STEM-related trainings.

  3. ILO-UNDESA-Korea and GS-NSPC Training on Monitoring and Evaluation for Social Protection

  4. TESDA-NTTA Train the Trainers Workshop on Job Readiness Trainings

    13 - 14 August 2019

    The Workshop focused on building the capacity of TESDA trainors in public and private TVETs in conducting Job Readiness Trainings for entry to the workforce, particularly in Information and Communications Technology related work. The program consists of a training workshop, a teaching demo class, and an individual coaching class for the trainers to help them develop the training methodology skills to conduct job readiness trainings.

  5. ILO and Partners Celebrate International Day of World’s Indigenous Peoples 2019

    11 August 2019

    The International Day of World’s Indigenous Peoples was celebrated in Bangladesh on 6 August 2019 at an event organized by The Indigenous Peoples Forum and Kapaeeng Foundation the ILO, UNDP, Australian Aid, and Royal Danish Embassy all attended the event.

  6. Regional workshop to discuss the preliminary study report on decent work promotion in rural economy through productive growth, local employment promotion, and transition from informal to formal employment.

    8 August 2019

    This is a one-day regional workshop to present the draft regional and national case studies to the regional technical team, SLOM-WG focal points, chairs of SOMSWD, SOMRDE, SOM-AMAF, ILO, ASEAN Secretariat, and representatives from ACE and ATUC.

  7. Career Guidance Training for TVET Officials

    5 August 2019

    Skills 21 and ITCILO organised an 8-day long-tailored training from 28 July and ends on 05 August 2019 in Dhaka Technical Teachers Training College for staff operating the career guidance and job placement cells on global good practice in job placement services through public-private partnerships.

  8. HIV/AIDS Training for Labour Inspectors

    1 - 3 August 2019

    ILO responds to the HIV epidemic by providing technical assistance and support through a range of workplace programs. Specifically to contribute concretely to UNAIDS 90-90-90 treatment targets and more specifically to conduct HIV confidential and voluntary HIV counselling and testing services at the workplace since 2013.

    30 July - 13 September 2019

    National tripartite preparatory workshops for the 12th AFML will be held in several ASEAN Member States to take stock on the progress of stakeholders in implementing the previous AFML recommendations and to discuss the themes of the 12th AFML.

  3. Pacific tripartite high level forum on climate change and decent work

    24 - 26 July 2019

    Following the adoption of the ILO's centenary declaration, government, workers and employers representatives from 11 Pacific Islands, Australia and New Zealand will meet to discuss how to develop a human-centered approach to the future of work in the Pacific region.

  9. Strengthening bi-partite social dialogue mechanisms for enhanced workplace cooperation

    The ILO’s tripartite constituents in Sri Lanka have identified the strengthening of social dialogue and workplace cooperation as a critical factor for improved dispute resolution. The Department of Labour has engaged employers and trade unions on labour dispute settlement at enterprise-level in the past. However, this has not been successful due to differing interests of employers and trade unions.

  10. Seminar on sharing of Good Practices on Migration Governance

    A one day seminar on Sharing of Good Practices on Migration and Governance is being held under the EU-India Cooperation and Dialogue on Migration and Mobility Project implemented by the ILO, in partnership with the ICMPD and India Centre for Migration.

  11. Tripartite Dialogue and Capacity Building for Strengthening Mediation as Dispute Resolution Mechanism
