The Training on CSR/RBC for Future Business Leaders

In line with the programme objective of promoting sustainable and inclusive growth by ensuring that investors and businesses and other stakeholders such as future business leaders have a better understanding of responsible business practices, the programme will organize another training activity for business management students who are considered to be the future business leaders. This group is regarded as important change agent that could help in the transformation of business practices to being more socially responsible. The training is aimed at promoting better understanding of the what, why and how of CSR/RBC for the purpose of instilling among the participants the essential knowledge, attitude and social values that will make them become effective instruments in the promotion of more socially responsible business in the future.

In undertaking this initiative, the ILO is collaborating once again with the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) – Ramon V. Del Rosario Sr. (RVR) Centre r for Corporate Responsibility (CCR) . The Centre is a part of AIM, an international management school and research institution. Since its inception in July 2000, the AIM-RVR Centre for Corporate Responsibility has focused on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Corporate Governance (CG). It primarily promotes the practice of good corporate governance among private and public companies in the region and undertakes as well initiatives that involve corporate citizenship relative to the competitiveness of corporations and its impact on society. The Centre engages with firms and industries in Asia in order to promote Corporate Social Responsibility as a core business strategy and to expand CSR as fundamental to doing business in a globalized economy.
