    ILO’s TRIANGLE in ASEAN and SKILLS teams are supporting the ASEAN Senior Labour Officials’ Meeting Working Group (SLOM-WG) to develop the ASEAN Declaration on Skills Mobility, Recognition and Development for Migrant Workers. The process is led by the ASEAN Secretariat and supported by the ILO and the International Organization for Migration (IOM). The ASEAN Declaration will be adopted at the 44th and 45th Summits in Vientiane, Lao People’s Democratic Republic in October 2024.

  5. Celebrating future baristas!

    The ILO's Young Futuremakers Thailand - Phase II project hosted a barista training course for youth with disabilities at the Thungmahamek School for the Deaf from November 13-17, 2023. Supported by the Standard Chartered Foundation, the project is dedicated to empowering disadvantaged young women and men through the provision of demand-led technical skills training, employability workshops, career guidance and job placements.

  6. What’s baking in the oven?

    Through the Young Futuremakers Thailand-Phase 2 project, the ILO organized the "Bakery" training course for youth with disabilities in Bangkok. From the 8 to 12 January 2024, 20 youth with disabilities participated in the Bakery training course at the Thungmahamek School for the Deaf.

  7. Cooking for the future

    The ILO, through the Young Futuremakers Thailand-Phase 2 project, organized the "Thai fusion cuisine" training course for youth in Bangkok from 2 to 6 October 2023. Twenty youths (aged 15-29) participated in the course and learned various savoury and sweet Thai dishes.

  8. 2022 International Day of Persons with Disability event

    The ILO, through the Young Futuremakers Thailand-Phase II project, organized a booth at the “2022 International Day of Persons with Disability” event.

  9. Targeted support towards youth employment in Thailand

    Organized by the Young Futuremakers Thailand project, the "Labour market trends, COVID-19 impact, policy considerations and targeted support towards youth for a human-centred recovery in Thailand" event provided a platform for stakeholders to discuss youth employment in Thailand, including policy considerations and opportunities for targeted support towards youth. It also served as an opportunity to launch the ILO's report on “Trends, characteristics and COVID-19 impact on youth not in employment, education or training (NEET) in Thailand”.
