ILO Director-General visits India

The Director-General of the International Labour Organization, Mr Guy Ryder, will visit India from 18 to 19 May 2013. This will be Mr Ryder’s first visit to India since he was elected on 1 October 2012.

The Director-General of the International Labour Organization, Mr Guy Ryder, will visit India from Saturday, 18 May to Sunday, 19 May 2013. This will be Mr Ryder’s first visit to India since he was elected as the 10th ILO Director-General on 1 October 2012.

Mr. Ryder will call on Honourable Prime Minister of India, Dr. Manmohan Singh and the Minster of Labour & Employment, Shri Mallikarjun Kharge. He will address the 45th Session of Indian Labour Conference organized by the Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India and will interact with ILO Governing Body Member (Employers), Mr. Y.K. Modi and ILO Governing Body Member (Workers), Mr. N.M. Adyanthaya; employers and workers partners in India as well as ILO staff members.
