The ILO Office for Turkey continues to work at full-speed in the pandemic times to build the capacities of public employees in charge of labour market administration and migrant employment, and of trade unions
Capacity-building activities for Turkish labour market actors continued in the first four months of 2021 despite the pandemic.
In the context of the project “Promoting Decent Job Opportunities for Refugees and Host Communities in Turkey” implemented by the International Labour Organization (ILO) with funding from the United States Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration (USBPRM), the ILO Office for Turkey arranged for the delivery of Turin, Italy-based ITC-ILO training on such subjects as labour migration management, green jobs, employee skill match to 10 staff members from the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization (MoEU), Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Services (MoFLSS), Centre for Labour and Social Security Training and Research (ÇASGEM), Turkish Employment Agency (ISKUR), Strategy and Budget Office of the Presidency (SBO), General Directorate for Migration Management (DGMM), Turkish Confederation of Employer Associations (TISK) and Adana Metropolitan Municipality (ABB).
Aiming, as one of the project objectives, to promote decent job opportunities for refugees through enhancing the capacities of public agencies in charge of labour market administration, trade unions and NGOs, the training programs serve the target audience on the online platform of ITC-ILO with a content of actual foundations, good practices and experience sharing with participants from all parts of the world. For their state-of-the-art e-training techniques, such training receives highly positive feedback from trainees. Training programs are delivered at trainer and trainee levels globally, and enhance the expertise and vision of trainees on the subjects covered, and those successfully completing the programs are awarded internationally recognized certificates of completion.
