The workshop was attended by a total of 40 women including 32 Syrian and 8 Afghan citizens who earlier completed the A2 Turkish language course, and also engaged in entrepreneurship training and cooperative work.

At the graduation event held on 16 July 2019 at GESOB event hall, the women who successfully completed the Turkish conversation workshop presented theatrical play, chorus and poetry works to the audience. Attended by 90 women beneficiaries of Turkish language classes at SADA Women Centre, the event both encouraged women in their endeavour of learning Turkish and entertained them. Performing the theatrical piece “Faso Fiso”, women beneficiaries of the workshop emphasised that women had the resolution and power to accomplish any and all work they undertook.

Women also read poems showing how advanced their Turkish language skills were, and underlined women’s unity and solidarity. The choir comprised of women beneficiaries of the conversation workshop sang the song “Hayat bayram olsa (if life were a holiday)” accompanied by sign language, giving joyful moments to the audience. The event concluded with good wishes and a family photo-shooting.
