How we shape a better future with decent work for all

Date issued: 20 January 2023 | Size/duration: 3:29

Through the project on “Promoting Decent Work for Syrians under Temporary Protection and Turkish Citizens”, the ILO Office for Türkiye supports both communities by creating a pathway to inclusion into formal labour market: It fills labour market gaps, contributes to social security benefits, creates new jobs, diversify workforces and establish new connections and markets. Because with their labour, entrepreneurship, networks and skills, everyone can make important contributions to the dynamic labour market. Because decent work for all benefits all.

Given that Turkey is the largest refugee-hosting country in the world, it is vital that adequate, sustainable and predictable financial and technical support is provided by the international community together with national and local institutions to assist efforts to enhance access to the labour market for all through decent work for all. The project puts into practice this aim and is financed by the Federal Republic of Germany through KfW Development Bank and implemented by the ILO Office for Türkiye, in coordination with the Ministry of Labour and Social Security.
