HIV Workplace Corner inaugurated at the Judicial Training Center in Tajikistan

Dushanbe, June 10, 2013. The 'HIV Workplace Corner' at the Judicial Training Center, Council of Justice`s premises was inaugurated by Mr. Muhammad Rasulov, Deputy Director, Judicial Training Center, Council of Justice in Tajikistan.

Mr. Rasulov stated, '...Starting from today all new trainees - judges and legal magistrates of the Center - will have free access to this HIV Workplace Corner and receive important human rights based information on modes of transmission of HIV, how to prevent, how to access treatment, care and support measures”.

The HIV Corner has been established with technical support from the ILO and financial support from the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Judicial Training Center adopted its HIV and AIDS Workplace Policy in February 2013. A National High-level Training of Trainers (ToT) for judges was conducted in April 2013.

The ILO has provided a number of relevant publications to the HIV Corner, including the ILO Handbook on HIV and AIDS for the Judges and Legal Professionals.
