Workplace Partners Forum - A pre-conference event organized by the International Labour Organization (ILO)

The ILO would like to use the excellent opportunity presented by the Vienna AIDS Conference to organize a Workplace Partners Forum by way of a pre-conference event with ILO constituents, HIV/workplace implementers, UNAIDS co-sponsors, donors and PLHIV on 17 July 2010 from 8:30-17:00.

Type: Conference
When: 17 July 2010
Where: Vienna, Austria

The event will provide an opportunity for key stakeholders to discuss new avenues:

  • to achieve a more comprehensive, rights-based and harmonized global response to HIV/AIDS and TB in the world of work;
  • to stimulate increased coordinated action by donors, ILO constituents, UNAIDS and co-sponsors, workplace implementers and networks of PLHIV on workplace programmes with special focus on strategy and policy development at the country level;
  • to engage the private sector and to mobilize the corporate world for enhanced HIV programming in developing countries in collaboration with International Organization of Employers (IOE) and International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC) and their regional and national networks;
  • to strengthen the partnership with workplace implementers for expanded action and sharing of expertise and experiences leading to the establishment of a global partnership network.
