ILO teamed up with tripartite partners to relay road safety and Decent Work

ILO and tripartite partners competed as one team in a relay promoting road safety and Decent Work as part of ILO centenary activity.

Addis Ababa (ILO News): ILO together with Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (MOLSA), Ethiopian Employers Federation (EEF) and Confederation of Ethiopian Workers Union (CETU) teamed up in a relay competition that promoted road safety and Decent Work.

The relay competition which was organized on Sunday 26 May 2019 in Addis Ababa by the Great Ethiopian Run team in collaboration with First Highway Engineering (IFH), brought together different agencies to join in the race including ILO who advocated for Decent Work in the road construction sector.
Following the announcement of the winner teams, a cake cutting ceremony was held by ILO and partners team led by the CO Addis Director Mr. Alexio Musindo.

In this relay employees of various institutions take part by forming a team, a process that help nurtures a good team sprit between themselves while taking advantage of giving them a platform to perform a physical exercise.
