The ILO ProAgro Ethiopia Project organized the first regional Technical Working Group meeting in Sidama Regional State, Ethiopia
ADDIS ABABA (ILO News) – The ILO ProAgro Ethiopia project in collaboration with Sidama Region Jobs, Skills and Enterprise Development Bureau conducted the first regional Technical Working Group (TWG) meeting on 03 March 2022 in Hawassa.
Government higher officials and experts from the Federal Ministry of Industry (MoI), Sidama Region Bureau of Jobs, Skills and Enterprise Development (BoJSED), Industrial Park Development Cooperation (IPDC), Bureau of Trade and Industry (BoTI), Cooperative Agency, and Confederation of Ethiopian Trade Union (CETU) attended this high-level meeting. ILO presented the ProAgro Ethiopia project and progress made at federal and regional levels. Participants of the meeting discussed and agreed on the composition of the TWG to be as follow:
Additionally, participants discussed and agreed on the governance of the regional ProAgro Project TWG - BoJSED to Chair, BoTI to Co-Chair, and the ILO to be the Secretariat.
The TWG agreed to meet monthly to monitor and discuss project progress and also to provide strategic guidance to bring tangible results on the four project outcome areas presented and discussed during the meeting.
