Launch of SURE Resilience Training for SMMEs

Building Resilience in SMMEs in South Africa

Resilience in SMMEs - SURE – is being launched on 28th October at 10am-11:15am.

The Sustainable and Resilient Enterprises (SURE) training programme has been developed for (mostly) small businesses who seek to strengthen their resilience in the face of complex and compound natural, bio-environmental, techno-industrial and socio-political hazards.

It combines elements of classical business continuity planning with business adaptation strategies.

The training programme is delivered to end users through a blended learning model that combines group-based training with individual coaching and auditing services.

The overall outcome of the training programme is the development of an individual business resilience strategy, that is gradually developed throughout the training programme and tailored to the participant’s unique business context and environment (see link for an overview).

Participation is open and will be of particular interest to institutions working with SMMEs; government and support agencies; organizations representing SMEs; and SMMEs themselves.
