At its March 2005 session, the Governing Body had requested the Director-General to develop clear guidelines for consultations and for facilitating the relationships between all departments and the Bureaux for Employers’ and Workers’ Activities, recognizing their
unique role in presenting the priorities and views of workers and employers within the ILO. Subsequently, a representative of the Director-General had assured Committee members that they would be kept informed on the activities undertaken as a follow-up to
the Committee’s decisions. It is in this context that these guidelines are being provided, for information, to the members of the Committee on Technical Cooperation.
