Call for application to Global Labour University Programmes (Deadline: 1 April 2013)

The Global Labour University (GLU) invites trade unionists and labour activists to apply until 1st April 2013 to the following programmes.

The Global Labour University (GLU) invites trade unionists and labour activists to apply until 1st April 2013 to the following programmes:

“ENGAGE” Johannesburg, South Africa University of the Witwatersrand


This five month certificate programme starts at the 1st of July and is open for trade unionists and labour activists with at least three years of labour related work experience. For further information, see: Application form

“Labour Policies and Globalisation” Kassel/Berlin, Germany, Kassel University and Berlin School of Economics and Law in Germany


This one year Master program starts at the 1st of October and is open for trade unionists and labour activists with experience in labour related work and a first university degree. For further information see: Application form

“Labour and Globalisation”, Mumbai, India, Tata Institute of Social Sciences


This eighteen month Master program starts at the 1st of July and is open for trade unionists and labour activists with experience in labour related work and a first university degree. It includes six month field work with a national or international workers organisation. For further information see: Application form


The Global Labour University is a network of universities, trade unions, and the International Labour Organisation (ILO) that offers unique postgraduate programmes on labour meeting the challenges of globalization. The GLU is an international forum to study and debate new policy ideas, and to engage in global initiatives for workers’ rights and social justice.

A limited number of scholarships will be awarded to qualified students.
