ILO to convene High-Level Symposium on “The Future of Work We Want: the Workers’ Perspective”

GENEVA (ILO news) -The ILO’s Bureau for Workers’ Activities (ACTRAV) will hold a high level symposium here to contribute to the ILO’s Future of Work initiative from a trade union perspective from 18-20 October.

The symposium “The Future of Work We Want: the Workers’ perspective” will discuss future of work related issues faced by ILO member States, and discuss possible policy responses from both, governments and the social partners as a means to promote and protect the rights of working women and men.

The event at ILO headquarters in Geneva will bring together union leaders but also representatives from academia, governments and employers around the globe to consider the profound transformations and challenges in the world of work.

All six sessions of the event will be live webcast on www.ilo.org/actrav and ACTRAV’s Facebook page.
