    The main objective of the project is to provide theoretical and practical training to organizational and business leaders in the use and application of business resilience tools and best practices. The knowledge gained from the seven training modules of the programme will help users develop a business continuity strategy. The strategy would be used as a means of helping to empower their respective organizations and firms to improve their sustainability, survival, and ability to thrive in the face of unexpected adversities.

    Minimum wage-setting systems have become an important policy issue for employer and business member organizations (EBMOs) in the Pacific. In recent years, notable shifts have taken place. A few countries have seen significant minimum wage increases and many Pacific employers are concerned that the minimum wage-setting system in their country lacks evidence-based criteria and transparency, can become politicized, or can be influenced by outside guidance. This guide has been developed to support Pacific EBMO in benchmarking minimum wage setting in their country to the wider sub-region and to develop a deeper understanding of standards relating to wage setting, mechanisms that can be applied, and factors of concern to business and employers.

    This guide is adapted from the ILO’s Managing Small Business Associations -Trainer’s Manual and the ITCILO series of resources for Effective Employer and Business Member Organizations. The material from these resources has been customized into a comprehensive and practical guide for leaders and managers of small Employer and Business Membership Organizations (EBMOs) in Pacific island countries to help them to review their EBMO’s operational structure and approach in different areas and to assist newer organizations to build appropriate structures and processes from the outset. The overarching aim of this guide is to help foster more resilient and sustainable EBMOs equipped to adapt and respond to the changing needs of their members and market conditions.
